                     2.  Registration and management of specific food products

                        Figure 2-1 shows the number of approved permits issued for each of the eight
                     categories of food items that must undergo registration as of the end of 2016. Figure 2-2
                     shows the number of registration applications received, reviewed and approved for food
                     additives in 2016. For detailed statistics and data of health food and genetically modified
                     food permits, please refer to Table 1 in Annex II.
