For establishing a safe medication environment, eradicating counterfeit drugs relies on the cooperation of relevant units in various countries to fight against illegal activities. This international conference invited related units from advanced countries and Taiwan. Experts from industry, government, and academia discussed current status of inspections and shared inspection mechanisms and experiences. Through the learning of practical experience in the conference, a communication and cooperation mechanism among countries was established to allow instant information to be obtained and the duplication of inspections to be reduced. In this way, Taiwan’s technological capabilities can be improved, the flow of illegal drugs will be reduced and counterfeit medicine will have no place to hide, to protect the rights of pharmaceutical companies, actively protect citizen’s health, ensure the safety of medication, and make Taiwan a leading country in preventing and controlling the circulation of illegal drugs in the Asia-Pacific region.
