The documents required for the importation of non-genetically modified and genetically food products under specific CCC codes.

(Implemented since 2016-7-31)

1.Import of non-genetically modified food products under CCC codes as table.1 shall submit one of the following documents to the Food and Drug Administration for import inspection:

(1)Documents of Identity Preservation; or

(2)Attest documents indicate non-genetically modified products issued by competent authorities of the exporting country; or

(3)Certificate of Analysis for non-genetically modified (The analysis items shall include all GM events that applied for food use approved by Food and Drug Administration and if the testing results show that trace GM ingredients exist but lower than the tolerance for announcement of GM food labeling, a statement of unintentional mix is also required; or

(4)Organic agricultural product certification issued by a certification body accredited by a national accreditation body or international organic accreditation organization announced by Council of Agriculture (COA); or

(5)Other documents approved by Food and Drug Administration.

2.Import of genetically modified food products under CCC codes as table.2 shall submit one of the following documents to the Food and Drug Administration for import inspection:

(1)Declaration documents indicate the genetically modified strain unique identifier or event of the shipments and with a statement of “This shipment of ○○○(soybeans, or corn, maize, sweet corn, colza, colza seeds, sugar beet) may contain genetically modified events as following…”or other statement with same meaning issued by exporting supplier. The information should appear the linkage of the goods and the documents, or

(2)Invoice or packing list indicates the unique identifier or event issued by exporting supplier.
